While the Staff Management functions deal with future scheduling, the Attendance process deals with current day or past attendance information. Attendance information is automatically generated from the Staff Management process. The attendance screen allows for employees sign-in and sign out to track hours worked on a given day. The system is also able to track vehicle assignments as well. Attendance is done on an exception basis. This means that if an employee shows up to work as regular no intervention is required. Only when an employee has an illness and leaves early, or works overtime hours will data have to be entered for an employee. This results in efficient time tracking while still allowing last minute changes to staffing levels.
