Mission Statement
QuatroScheduling - Forecasting Attendance
In order to forecast employee attendance, employees must be assigned to various elements that determine "When", "Where", and if applicable, what "Crew" the employee is a member of. Each assignment is based on an "effective date", allowing assignments to be done ahead of time, using future effective dates. The number of assignments for each employee is unlimited as long as the effective date of each assignment is unique.

In QuatroSafety, all assignments are done either by accessing the employee's Work Activity Screen or using the Staff Management Screen.

When
Once created, each Employee is "assigned" to a Schedule which will determine the employee's future working days.

The following information can be determined from the assignment of a Schedule:
  • Dates when the employee will be working
  • Stating time of each shift
  • Ending time of each shift
  • Length of each Shift
  • Dates when the employee is not working

Crew
Employees must also be assigned to a Crew. Crews determine who the employee will be working with, and in what capacity. During the Staff Management and Attendance process, the crew code groups members of the same crew together and helps the operator to visually sort out who works with whom and whether the scheduler has assigned enough resources to fulfil the staff requirements for a particular day.

The definition of Crews can be maintained via the Lookup Table option in the Administration menu.

Where
The last assignment element is the Location and Station. This determines "where" the employee will be working on a particular Shift. During the Staff Management and Attendance Process people assigned to the same Location and Station will be grouped together to help the operator to visually identify the staffing level of a particular area.

The definition of Location/Station codes can be maintained via the Lookup Table option in the Administration menu.
